Default how exactly does it work if you take out your ECU and swap with someone else? (more)

doesn't the ECU have information about your car that is distinctive to only your car? So if you swap it with lets say a stock ECU for a chipped ECU, would everything just work fine without anything else?

Default You'd have to recode your immobilizer.

Hopefully your dealer is cool with that...or you can find a tuner that is able to do that.

Default Find a local buyer and it's worth it

Even if you're charged for 1 hour of labor, you'd still come out on top.

Default I sold my old ecu w/GIAC (from my'02 and I think ...

he had New Country recode the immobilizer.

You can use a vag to recode the immobilizer right?
