How many people did not get an alignment after lowering? Is it bad? mandatory?
#2
not mandatory unless things seem totally out of whack. but highly recommended
people occassionally don't bother and have no problems, and others have tons of problems.
$80 or so for an alignment is a lot cheaper than replacing a set of tires and getting an alignment.
you can certainly wait a week or so though

I just lowered mine over a week ago. I have not done the alignment yet but hope to do it this week. So far so good. But I do not drive the car that much so it's probably only got less than 100KMS since I did the lowering.

My comments...
If you change the geometry of the suspension by removing and replacing parts...especially springs...you will need to get the alignment checked. It is especially important if you do a coilover kit. My suggestion is to get an alignment after about a week or two. It is a small price to pay. If you don't do it you risk getting irregular wear on your tires and having to replace them...and how much do they cost?
IMHO, Do not get an alignment immediately after installing a new suspension. The suspension will settle..and if you get the alignment immediately..it may be affected when the suspension settles.
