Default Re: $1,500 over invoice. Ordered 3.0 6-Speed Avant.

For a car that will not sit on the dealer's lot, I think $1500 over invoice is generous...

I think 3% over the invoice is ok..My discount= $2,600 from MSRP, $700 over invoice (but it's 1.8t)

Default Hey MB, are you in South Florida?

If so where did you get your lowers painted, and how much?

Default Not in Seattle...

IE a BMW dealer here knowingly lost my business because I was only paying $1,500 over invoice. They really don't care if they lose your business for only $1,500 over.

In fact, Honda dealers here are putting second sticker on their cars too.

That's ridiculous. How does Edmunds' TMV stack-up to the prices you have found?

Default Oh, and it's actually a disadvantage for the dealer to order

They really don't want a 6-Speed 3.0 Avant on their lot if you change your mind.

The dealer searched the west coast and found nothing that matched what I spec'd out.

If you bought off the lot, it would be extremely easy to get 1k off as nearly every dealer I asked ofeered it to me.

Default Yes and i went through Champion Audi, who sent it to ....

1 of the 2 (they said only 2) local Audi Certified Body Shops. Went through Champion because that way if there was a problem they would handle it, instead of my dealing with the body shop.

I'm trying to remember ... I think it was either 600 or 700 total which included painting and installing the Votex Lip Spoiler and detailing my car.

Came out very nicely !

TMV here is $1,100 under MSRP for the 3.0 Avant manual.

You don't happen to remember the body shop's name do you?

Champion wanted to charge me $1000.

That's why they make you put down a deposit and make it non-refundable.
