How necessary are right angle circlip pliers in installing a SSK?

How necessary are right angle circlip pliers in installing a SSK?
I went to several different places today and no one carried a pair. I wanted to try to attempt this tonight. TIA

100% Necessary sir. Furthermore...
The ones I purchased [see install pics] were far from adequate. Not only did I break them but also took a chunk out of my finger in the process.
They're a must... needle nose in any capacity won't work. The clip is metal and won't give easily.
And I have a feeling you'll be able to have it in w/no serious issues.

I got mine from Sears.....circlip pliers aka retaining ring pliers
