Default How is reliability for Audi's? Any problems with yours?

I am still trying to decide between a 330i and an A4 3.0. I just got done reading Customer Reports, and basically they paned Audi's on reliability. Anyone else read CR's new car review issue? Thoughts?

Default 12000 miles so far and i've had a $400 headache (more)

i think it's the luck of the draw. i've heard complaints that ran all over the place with problems starting within the first 10000 miles, but then there are those that swear that nothing has come up in there 60000 miles. it's german so it's going to be fickle. since i have a true disdain for the current 3 series, i went with the audi. the benz c is a pos, and the IS300 is pretty nice, but i have a few friends with those already.

Default Mine was delivered with the clutch safety switch nonfunctional.

I was able to start the car with the clutch pedal up, which is a big safety no-no (most people wouldn't have found this problem but I am a detail freak). Dealer will fix it and I still really like the car, but it makes me wonder what else might not be working that I have yet to discover...

Default Re: get a 3 series

My wifes 3 series has been in the shop no less than 4 times in a year for broken window regulators, and one central HVAC fan.
They're very nice at the service department, but I'm sick of seeing them.

Default There is no clutch safety switch in Europe. You can start every car w/ clutch up.

Interesting I learn that safety switch of yours.
