The right or rear end of it has a loop piece that goes behind the trim piece next to it (below the seat back).

In other words, you can pop off most of it to check for something loose behind it, but don't try to remove it completely at the right side.

One side note: unless the cover itself is loose, the rattle probably isn't from anything under it, but rather a rattle being caused by the seat frame/rails needing lubrication. I had this problem on my seat - it sounded like plastic rattling over bumps and rough road. It gradually got to the point where sometimes it would be continuous! The dealer had to lubricate the whole assembly twice before it stopped - if it happens again, they'll replace the frame.

thanks, woofpup. i will check it out. it sounds like a snap or popping. i can feel it if i rest my hand on the cover, like something hitting it from behind.
