How to repair a scratch in the aluminum interior trim around the shift knob?

I think you can handle the scratch in the same way that you would deal with an exterior paint scratch:
Get yourself some silver touch-up paint in a little bottle from Pep Boys or such. You might want to buy a couple different shades of your best guess and test it out on a piece of plastic or something non-porous first to judge the match.
Now purchase the stuff called Langka.

Lay some of the silver paint into the scratch with a fine brush or toothpick. You may need several layers to get it filled in depending on depth of scratch. Take your time, and allow drying time between layers, building it up just above the top surface.
Now after waiting 2 days or so, with the Langka, you can level it all off without damaging anything else.
