so, the car's been sitting at the airport for about a week, and when get back and fire up the defrost, the blower noise starts making a noise and vibration like it's spinning off axis. it's a low frequency sound (not a squeek), and i can feel the dash vibrate through the wheel and the pedals when it does it.

the lower the fan speed, the softer the noise (and vibration) but even on the lowest speed, it's noticeable (at low car speeds anyway).

at first i thought maybe a clump of ice had somehow formed on the blower, but the noise/vibration was still there after 20 minutes of heat. i'm hoping something is just stuck there, and the motor doesn't need to be replaced.

i couldn't find anything via search, and wanted some input before i take the car in (for other stuff too). any ideas?

inspect the pollen filter(if there) then remove.

Look for foreign items which may have gotten down inside the fans intake....

take out your cabin filter and peek at the blower top

guess i went too long before i changed it.

actually, that was the first thing i checked, but i didn't open it up all the way. it looked fine in the front, but the back had a huge hole.
