I'm going to remove the serpentine belt this afternoon...
and try to inspect the compressor/clutch assembly and try to see where the problem is. I found some used compressor assemblies on car-parts.com for $350.00 but if I only need to replace the clutch, it would probably be a lot cheaper (and I could leave the AC lines sealed).
