I was very close to getting an Audi, but I ended up purchasing a 2002 BMW 330ci. My decision was based on the option availablity and the 2-door option and the price factor. The Audi 1.8t the way I had optioned came to about 30k, for 4.5k more I am getting a 330ci with navigation, sports, bi-xenon, heated seats, sun roof and rear sunshade(my favorite option. The list price for the car is 40k, but I know the right channels to get that particular deal. Anyway, I think in the future when I get married (possibly next year), I will be in the market again for the A4 and hopefully I can join u guys again. Until then adios amigos. This was a very informative board and people were genuine.
Also, I am opening my company selling stuff for Audi, BMW & Porshces. So i look forward to working you guys.
Thanks!

Even without the channels, I'd have paid another $3k to get the car you bought. The 330 has soo much more power than the 1.8T and is a _lot_ faster than either A4. Everything about it, except interior styling, is better than the A4. Not much better, mind you, but better.
Oh, well, my other car is an audi . . . an old A4!

I would be curious about your "channels". I am debating between the two cars right now. I might be able to give you a "referral fee" if you could hook me up with your channel. Send me an email:

You really can't go wrong with either choice. I sold my 323Ci yesterday, and have been looking at a couple of cars as a replacement. I test drove the '02 A4 3.0 QMS, and was very impressed by it. In the end, it came down to a few things that made my final decision. For one, due to the lower residual value and higher money factors, the lease on an A4 is at a disadvantage to the 3 series. The actual driving feel of both cars is very close, but I have to give a slight edge to the 3 series. Maybe this was due to the fact I have driven a 3 series more, but it was still evident during my brief A4 test drive. So, today I placed an order for an '02 330i with Sport package, Bi-Xenon's, and moonroof.
Believe me, I am not knocking the A4 at all. It is a superb car, and as I said most everyone would be happy with either one they chose. I am still going to keep reading this board as I have been enjoying my time lurking here.
Have fun!

Hey...I am debating between those two cars as well. I was wondering if your "channel" might be able to give other people a good deal...there could be a "referral fee" in it for you.
