A4 (B6 Platform) Discussion Discussion forum for the B6 Audi A4 produced from 2002-2005

I don't think the Blitzsafe adapter sounds that good. I get more from a cassette adapter. Agree?

Default Something's not right. I was just gonna post how my iPod sounds better than the stock cd player!

Seriously! I love listening to my iPod in the car. It sounds so good and i was wondering if that had to do with the built in equilizer in iTunes?

Default Oh wait! Where's your sound level on the iPod? DO NOT turn the volume all the way up on the iPod!

Should be at half way to 3/4 all the way up.

Default def. sounds like your ipod is too high. blitzsafe is very sensitive to incoming levels

sounds very harsh and crappy if volume coming in is too high

Default I know... I have the Nomad Zen and it's only at 15-16.. anything higher will cause distortion....

The thing is, if it is only at 15 or 16 then I have to crank up the radio to like 25 to get decent volume. I plugged in the cassette adapter and I almost blew my speakers because it was so much louder at the radio volume setting of 25 and the nomad at 15. The quality is better, because it's not a tape, but the volume sucks! They need a better amp or something.

Default i've never seen the Zen, but....

does it have multiple outputs (headphone, line out, etc....) have you tried using just a line-out (if available)?

Default Just one output for headphones. I'll have this guy at work try his ipod. I'll have to return...

the adapter if the results are the same.
