I was pulling away from a light and shifting down into 2nd gear and the gear **** sort of broke off in my hand and at first I thought the **** had broken.

I pulled over and took a look only to find the shaft of the SS had just snapped in two. Luckily, I found some vice grips in the trunk and was able to limp home using only 1st and 3rd (I wasn't far from the house).

I'm not going to say who the manufacturer is right now (although you could probably figure it out). I'm not looking to bash them. I contacted them and would like to see how they handle it.

Jason is overnighting me one of his kits. If the manufacturer warranties the broken one, I'll be selling it since I know some of you are on a budget and still don't have a SS yet (Matt).

I'll have pics up once I finish removing it from the car.
