I guess it's time for a JHM. My SS just snapped.

Default I haven't read about any failures either so I was kinda surprised when it happened.

But also kind of giddy because I knew it meant I'd be getting a JHM. The only downside is west-to-east coast overnight shipping is a real biatch.

Oh, and shifting with vice grips isn't much fun either.

Default Must have been a little shocking to be left holding your shifter...

Hopefully, your new JHM will arrive quickly and all will be right with the world. Your car is still my standard bearer!

(for...um....what I would do with an extra $7K and if I didn't have Tiptronic...)

Default Haha me Matt?

Sweet. I'd like to know who the manufacturer is. Could you possibly drop me an email with the name?

Default Update: Stratmosphere got back to me and they are sending a replacement right away....

So thumbs up for their customer service. FWIW, I've never heard of anyone else having this problem.

I find it hard to believe I could break it with force even if had I been abusing it, which I wasn't. I'm not a materials scientist, but I guess there was something wrong with the metal to begin with.

Wow, thanks for compliment. I don't often think of my car as one people look up to.
