Default Re: This jerkiness, you all have been speaking of...

your right it takes getting used to but if your going hard the shifts from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd have a jerk in them almost like the car doesnt want to be taken out of gear. It seems to be getting better but its wierd i have had both versions of the GIAC chip and the old version was NOT jerky at all (obviously had other problems though) then all of a sudden the new 1c is jerky as hell compared to the old one. Just my 2 cents

Default You going to dump this one & get the competition's? You had earlier GIAC problems, why buy this one?

When and where did you buy your current chip? Is it an alpha or beta version? Has it been upgraded or replaced by the latest version? Who have you been working with on this?

Why, if you had other problems with earlier versions, did you buy GIAC's new one? What were those problems? What did you mean by "obviously had other problems though"?

Have you posted a more complete review on this "jerky" chip? (twice now on this thread you've posted about how jerky it is). Could you refer me to an earlier review that you might have done on this chip please.

Sorry to be such a skeptic, but there has been evidence of earlier 'planted' postings targeted 'for' or 'against' some chip manufacturers. (Is this a dog-eat-dog business, or what?)

In that case I lied and have no chip. Who can prove it? My warranty is only voided if something breaks on the car as a result of this alleged chip. That is the law. Some Magnuson act I think it is called. Anyways I know many people who have chips that "technically" shouldn't because they are supposed to be Audi roll models and not have them. I could pull a Sammy the Bull and be a rat but I won't.

Default the updates are free because its still a test chip...i want to give GIAC the benefit of the doubt ..

so i will stick with them to see what updates they come out with. If you want to talk more about it just email me..I'd rather not talk about it here.
THanks anyway

NMAudi - Who had a problem with a previous GIAC chip as you have posted in your reply? Who are you referring to?
