I have got my work cut out for me on my fall full detail....question
my car has taken a beating this summer for some reason, and today, I opened my door and it hit this concrete pillar thing at the mall. It took like 3 small chunks out right below the door handle. it's not that bad. Some one posted a really good touch-up paint regimen not too long ago,.....toothpicks, special high grit sand block. anyone have that?!

you know the answer! :-) ....I found it....
But I'm not doin it. I could finish my thesis in the time this guy takes to touch up a chip!<ul><li><a href="http://www.carcareonline.com/viewarticle.aspx?art=8">tackling paint chips if you have 5 years on your hands</a></li></ul>

I just used a match
apply to chip, let it dry, put on clearcoat, dry, polish, as good as new. The idea of using a match comes from the owner of a local body shop. Now, the surface is not going to be perfectly smooth after you are done applying paint and clearcoat. I used a porter cable and some menzerna and polished it for a little while. The surface is smoooth and there is no telling touch up paint was ever applied.
