In my opinion, and this is only my opinion so don't flame me, I hate the fact they put a NA V8 in there instead of a turbo. It's meant to compete with the M3 but fails in almost everyway performance wise. I always loved the turbo engines audi made. Easy to tune and very flexible. Granted there won't be any blown turbos with this one, but I still think it was a mistake. If I had the choice I would take an M3 over this whereas I would without a second of hesitation pick the B5 S4 over an M3. The article didn't mention what the price was going to be but with that V8 I'm sure it will be up there in high 40's or low 50's. As a car in itself, it seems very nice, but it's not something I dream about or ever will whereas I will continue dreaming of owning a B5 S4.

I always thought the charm of the S4 is it looks so much like an A4. Like a wolf in sheep skin.
