just got in from a night on the "town"
I will post details later. When I left, all was left to do was fine tune everything and put the car back together. Everything seemed to be in working order and in good shape. Less hassle than I thought. The only snag was the line level converter. For the audiolink II, you have to have right and left speaker levels hooked up to it for it to pass a signal to the amp. I had only one side hooked up at first. I could hear a slight "hiss" from the sub, but no bass....so I spliced again and there it was, bass a boomin'. I just need to do a bit more wiring to clean things up and I am done wiring. I will post colors of the wires and pics of everything in a few days. I ended up tapping into the power distribution block behind the fuse box for power. I grounded the amp under the rear seat...i have a pics of everything...hopefully they turn out o.k.

the JLW3 10's are 250 watts each, while the 8's are about 150 each...i want to go with the 10's but it's going to take up too much space...do you think the 10's will make a huge difference from the 8's?

They need more air and more power. There are other woofers that are desinged to run in smaller boxes. Image Dynamics, Fosgate etc. YOu could get a 10" to run with .75 cu ft of air. I have a friend that runs 2 Fosgate Reference 10's with .50 cu/ft air each and they WAIL ! ! !
