I raced my new Bilstein shocks and one lost by 2.5 seconds! Why?

<center><img src="http://www.bilstein.com/art/logo102w.jpg"></center><p>I ordered *NEW* Bilstein shocks.
I pressed the piston in on both front shocks.
One went in with much less pressure/force.
Then I timed them as they went back to the starting position.
One took about 5 seconds.
The other took about 2.5 seconds.
Is this normal for new shocks or is one bad?
Or am I just being paranoid?

static forces such as you did don't tell you anything.. I noticed the same thing once. A friend works for Koni US, and says you have to put them on a shock dyno to see if there is a real differece. Once may have a tiny bit higher seal friction (or there could really be a difference, but you have to dyno to check)..
I wouldn't worry about it over much.
