I searched....Coolant Temp Sensor...where is it?! 3.0
I saw the tech article for the 1.8t but looks different than the 3.0. Is it in the same place? If not where is it?
The instrument temp gauge is sporadic on the B6 3.0. VAG says it was Coolant Temp Sensor.

Don't know about the 3.0, but in the 1.8 it's the green/brass thing in the coolant flange on the
the back of the headers by the firewall.. very hard to see without removing some stuff

I thought theres coolant sensor down in the passenger front as well
maybe thats a tiptronic thing (1.8T) but i could have swore i just saw a diagram showing one located down since i was poking around to figure out what was leaking on that side (radiator fin sadly).

I pulled apart the intake ducting. moved wires around from back of cams
I seriously cannot see it. Has anyone here done it? PLus there is no coolant line until the engine block which I can see the flange from under the car but from uptop, unless I take the head's off, it looks near impossible to get to.

A PITA on the 1.8T as well, however my 1988 80, was the same way. ;O)
