I think my car's drive train might have gotten fuxxored.
Yesterday i was waiting at a red light behind some cars. When the light turned green and i started to accelerate, I both heard a loud "THUNK" and felt the car buck one. I knew i didnt hit the car in front of me as they were well ahead, and i checked in my mirror behind me and the lady there was far enough back that i knew she hadnt hit me.
So i thought i might have hit something on the road and continued to accelerate. I looked behind me and didnt see anything lying on the road. Thats when i started to hear the nosie.
"tickticktickticktick" It increased its pace and noise level as my speed increased. I immediadly pulled over into an open parking lot and did a visual inspection of the underside, front, back and engine bay of the car. I didnt find anyting visual to my untrained eye that indicated a breakage. There was no fluid lost or dripping.
I got back in the car and decided to see if i could get in to see my dealer. (Still under warrenty) After speaking to my service tech, he said they couldnt fit me in that day (yesterday) but might be able to help me today and sort me out with a loaner on short notice. He also reconed unless the CEL light came on it might be okay to drive till i got it to them today.
The car started without issues this morning and I took it to the dealer early. Now all i can hope is that this isnt something major and something that will require lots of work down the line, as I intend to keep this car for the next 4-5 years at least.
Has anyone here experianced a similar situation?

My Tip makes a large thud noise when shifting into 2nd out of 1st under very light acceleration...
I've not gotten the ticking noise though. I've complained about this before but the dealer has done nothing. This happens every once and a while when I'm creaping in slow traffic. Maybe you need to get your transmission controller flashed with the new updated software covered under that TSB.
