Default I told my wife I wanted to spend my "car fund" money from my stock options

issued to me in March. She approved my proposal to use it for my car.

When I mentioned it last night, she looked at me like I had a third eye on my forehead. I said, "You agreed to it!! Did you forget already? Must be your pregnancy memory." She didn't like that.

Default I found out that some times...

it's better to leave them in the dark about things like "car funds". The less they know, the less explaining, justifying, etc... you have to do.

Default yep, stuff always breaks on my A4, I keep replacing it with new, upgraded parts...

it's not like she would know the difference anyway. I've been single for a few months now but I've done my share of sneeking tools and parts in the garage when no one was looking.

just make sure you don't use that one too often, they eventually question the safety excuse...

Default Yup...

BBK = safety (stopping)
HSport sways = safety (turning/avoidance)
Coilovers = safety (turning/avoidance)
Summer tires = safety (stopping/turning/avoidance)
K04 = safety (power for merging onto highways)

Default I have my under the radar changes, but this one I thought I'd do above it

because I have a Tirerack gift certificate to use to partially cover the cost, and the rest would have to come through the credit card.

It's really a matter of cash flow management. The new baby arrives in 4 weeks, and new H-sport sway bars don't appear to be a priority for the new arrival. I think they would help me get her to the hospital and back quicker and safer. :-)

Default haha, not sure if the hospital trip justification will work!

I doubt she'll notice new swaybars under the car. Obvious cosmetic modifications are a lot harder to hide. Anything under the car or under the hood is fairly easy to hide.
Maybe PayPal, so no pesky CC statement to blow your cover?
