Default I went to Willow Springs last weekend and had tons of fun...

I have some pictures from that weekend but the sad part is that I don't have any of me driving on the track. I was going to buy some professional pictures of me driving on the track but they cost an arm and a leg for just 10 pictures. Next time I will get some of me on the track.

So this was my first time on a track and it was the greatest feeling and experience that I have ever had in regards to cars. My first day I was a little cautious because I didn't want to crash my car and it being my first time I needed to learn how to see the apex and to figure out which lines to take. As the day progressed I was able to go out with an Instructor to help me and it was great. My confidence got higher and higher. By the second day my confidence was higher but still cautious. I was able to go faster. For those who know this track I was able to reach speeds of 110 mph on coming into turn 8. As I got out of turn 9 down the main straight i reached 115 mph. I was told that I should be going faster as you enter turn 8 but I found that that speed was comfortable for me at that time but I think when I go again I will go a little faster.

The A4 is a great car and I am very happy with its performance. Obviously it performed great because I wouldn't gotten this car. Yes I wish my car was faster but for what it is, it was outstanding. The handling was awesome with the H&R Coilovers. Never did I feel the car slip or feel like rollong over. My goodyear eagle tires had great grip too.

I remeber one you guys telling me that Willow Springs is a fast track and that is very true. I recommend you guys and girls to go if you can. There are many other track events and clubs that race their all year. The one club I belong to is West Coast Racing, Inc. formerly Team Pantera Orange Co. The next track event for this club is March 4-5 2006. It's $225 for the two days of fun on the track. I will stop talking and here are some pictures.

Default What group were you with...Yes, I have been there several times...

The thing about turn 8 is you lose vision of where the track ends...on the horizon. I have only been there with my Spec Miata.
