Ice Trials pics...
It was a great day Sunday. Upper 20s. 12" of ice. Dry. Attendance was pretty good.
Some pics...
Our group...a guy we met from Chicago w/RS6, my buddy's "project" Coupe Quatro and my Avant.

Going sideways 70-80% of time around is FUN!

Max speed I hit on one straight was ~60-70mph.

About 8-10s slower on a almost 2 minute course. The problem is they put us...
in the same group with WRXs and STIs. Not that power means a lot there but acceleration can make a difference.
For example, my best time was 1.51.9. And take this, that was with ESP ON!! rest of my times were 1.52.x to 2.09.xx(nearly did 360 there). My buddy and his son in the Coupe did 1.48.x. The guy in the RS6 did 1.55.x but that was his first time on ice. Subbies did anywhere from 1.41.x up.
I believe if I had manual transmission car I could a lot better. My tires are in their 3rd season and fairly worn out too. 225/45/17 doesn't help either.
But, it's so much fun anyways I really don't care all that much about time.
