So why wouldn't you feel a pulsation?

You might well feel a pulse, if it's trying to "let go" of the wheel.

there is a switch so that it knows if the e-brake is on

Default Why bother wiring it into the ABS system? Who is EVER going to do that?

Yeah, that's what I'd expected. No pulse, though.
