Default Now adays...

dirty fuel injectors are very rare.

Plus "dirty" injectors will show other more noticable symptoms with the engine, vise only in the emissions.

Dirty oil will cause a car to fail emissions.

What we "need" to know here, is what was the readings of the emission test? Namely the HC,CO,CO2, & N0x readings, and which was high, or over limit?

These will aid in troubleshooting of why the vehicle failed.

Default Maybe not as much as a problem as it used to be. It certainly doesn't hurt to throw some in now and

then just to make sure the injectors are in good condition.

Default Most premium gasolines....

already contain high levels of detergents, to prevent fuel injector problems.

http://www.chevron.com/brands/prodserv/fuels.asp</a
