Default The stock ECUs are tuned for 91 octane anyway, so yup. The 1.8T may benefit from higher in (more)

certain conditions, but the 3.0 won't...

Default if you run lower than recomended octane, knock sensors tell controller to retard timing to avoid....

damage. Shouldn't hurt anything no matter what you run. You would just get reduced performance is using less than recommended.
