Default Yes to both of your questions.

Oil also acts as a bearing for your turbo.

Default YES! it would definitely affect the turbo!

Oil gets pumped through the turbo, not for cooling, but as a (well two actually) bearings. with out the oil, the turbo is essentially rubbing metal to metal at high temperatures. It wouldn't require too much time running like that for the whole system to sieze.

Default so if one were to keep driving with a bad oil pump until the motor blew the turbo life span has....

probably been shortened? Should the turbo be replaced?

LOL, if the motor blew, the turbo should not be your biggest concern.

right, but if they fixed everything and neglected the turbo then shouldn't one be worried?

Default Being that it was oil starvation, I would be.

Is it making any strange noises?

no, but sometimes it does not feel like it is putting out the amount of boost it used to.

Default I'm with A4MALITY on this one. You've almost certainly reduced the life

if not performance of the turbo by driving with little or no oil pressure.
