Ignition Solutions "Plasma Direct" [Coil Pack] replacement ignition coil...
I had seen these every so often, pictured in car magazine layouts (European Car, Euro-Tuner,..), always too small to make out in the engine pics, and could never find out what they were, or their name. Then I recently stumbled across it at Eurocode Tuning's website. They were obviously an upgrade of some sort for the CP's, but I never knew exactly what. It also seemed like a good alternative for the failing CP issue that many owners experienced and turns out to also be an improvement over the OEM CP's performance.
I contacted David at Eurocode Tuning about them and he said they are a nice addition for chipped and bigger turbo set ups, but also work well with stock. They are more durable and supply twice the spark. (They seem to be based on the same principal behind the Nology and silverstone set up; better/stronger igition/spark). Said to work with all spark plugs (copper cores being recommended). I think I might try them out once I get a chip upgrade.
Just thought I would share this. All comments/opinions welcomed.

Retail for a set of 4 = $589 (and their disc. price to public is $509)

Funny...I was thinking the same thing when I saw those on Neuspeeds A4 car in March(m)
magazine of European Car. They never mentioned what they were & I was having a problem locating where they were on the car in conjunction with the little pic they provided.

I'm not telling ; )
I'll mention some details soon. I just hate to post w/o some picture. Haven't had a lot of time either for an informative write up with all the stuff happening.
