I think it's ultrasonic or something like that. I've only had it set the alarm off once because of a lightning strike nearby. Could be the cause of your problem.

Also, I think people have said that it's been discontinued on later 03 models.

'02's do, '03's don't have a motion sensor.

My 03 built on 9/12/02 has a motion sensor

just check your driver's door pocket and see if the button is there for it

I do have the vehicle motion, but '02's also had an internal motion sensor, '03's do not.

I do have a motion sensor and mine is a 2003.

I have an internal motion sensor. I didn't know we had anything else, except for incline.
