Skip the 1500DR and get a 2500.

Default I already bought the 1500DR (3 years ago). Why is the 2500 better? They seem to be comparable on

paper.

Default Hertz HSK165.3

$349.95

Check last August's copy of Car Audio and Electronics magazine for a review on them.

Default class a/b vs, class D. class D isn't sonically as superior, at full current tilt, they both draw

equal amount of power, i rather have class a/b amps in my system

I realize that, but I remember reading that class D amps were fine for subs.

Default Hey Roman, here's my setup and its kicka**!

I know everyone has their own preferences, but here's my system. Sounds great and the bass hits hard. Minimal for a total stealth install.

JL 300/2 for the front speakers, DLS UP6 6.5" compnents in the front stock locations. JL 500/1 driving a JL 10" W6 in a custom trunk enclosure (A4 mods) in the driver's rear corner. RNS-E headunit with teddybgame custom harness with Ipod and Bluetooth. Sat coming soon. I also did the B7 RS4 Multifunction Steering Wheel conversion to control the RNS-E.
I left the rear speakers in place running off the RNS-E internal amp just in case I need rear fill for back seat passengers. Usually, I just fade them out. Removed the stock Bose sub from the package shelf location.

The focals are also a good choice, too. I still have them in my GTI.

Default tuck an infinity basslink in the back

That should easily wire up and it sounds pretty decent.
