Default You know, I'd have done the brakes for ya. I don't think PB did anything wrong cuttting the rotors.

They were probally thick enough. I would just have slapped on the pads, that's what my shop does. I even used AutoZone pads w/o problems.

Default "they owe me $411 plus the $133 I paid them" Dude, chill. I would not want you as a customer.

I can't believe I'm sticking up for Pep Boys. Just because your barakes squeak with those old rotors, they do not owe you a full dealer brake job, get real. You are one of the most normal guys on this board, but you are way off on this one. What did you expect, perfect oem brakes with used rotors? I suspect the rotors were fine and the pad install went ok, but what if the same thing happened with new oem rotors? It happens all the time. I just used cast-off rotors that were cut and DD's used Axxis pads, and my brakes are PERFECT. There is more to a brake job than popping in pads. Calipers need the guide pins cleaned and lubed, etc. that's why dealer services costs more...etc. I wish I could be of more help, if you chimed-in, I'd have sent you some Mintex for free and slap them on the rotors, no bedding is needed with rough rotors. I hope it works out. You need to bed those ****ers.

Default i watched them cut them ....

i can't say that looked like an exact science and it took the guy 2 hours to do 1 rotor... because he couldn't get it

so honestly i know something didn't go right because they quoted me 1.5 hours for the job to do both rotors and replace both pads and it took him 2 hours for the 1 rotor

Default no im a customer who doesnt expect to pay a decent amount of money and drive away unsatisfied

i said to them before i let them touch my car.... will my brakes make noise... 1 thing i do not want is noise...

they said nope thats why we do the rotors so it won't make noise

sure enough they make noise and a lot of noise and noise all of the time... the noise is not while im braking....

am i a good customer to have maybe, maybe not... i expect a lot, its why i was extremely skeptical going to PB in the first place... but i paid them to mess up my car and I'm not a satisfied customer

we'll see what happens im supposed to be called back sometime today

Default If you bought new rotors too, you'd have a better case. We get Chinese ones for $25 here, if that's

what people want. Best bet w/brakes is DIY. More than any other item other than tune-ups and that should be obvious why at this point.
