i'm told our a4's can't be stolen without the actual key...if this is true why are some a4's stolen.

The link I just posted reminded me of back in the day, when cell phones were analog. You could go to Radio Shack, buy a scanner, set yourself up by the side of the road, and start sucking up phone numbers and the associated data. Then you could create a duplicate phone, and start calling around. People were sometimes surprised to get a $22,000 phone bill. I live in CT, and made sure to turn off my phone when driving around the GW Bridge, as it was a hot location for the scammers.
