Default immediate help needed!...i haven't driven my car in 3 months. and am having troubles...(m)

I went to start my car today after 3 months and as i figured, it wouldn't start. I jump started it and gave it a constant rev at about 2o00rpms for about 30 seconds, slapped it in drive, and it stalled instantly. I re-jump started it and let the engine run as I did before except for about 4 minutes. Then it stalled about 2 minutes later...fortunately i got it in the desired garage at that point. When the car started the first time the esp caution light stayed on, and when you put the key in the ignition, the light would come on. The light went off on its own after about the first minute of driving it the second time, however, after trying to slow charge the battery for about 2 hours, when i tried to turn the car on the esp light went on however it just seemed to short out, and the light slowly faded away. In addition, the only cabin lights that went on were the ones in tape part of the radio.....any quick fixes, anyone that this has happened to?....anything is appreciated here. i would love to not have to take my car in the shop for the millionth time.
Thanks in advance,
Brooks

Default interesting...

my dad's merc has that problem too. It'll just stall sometimes (even though his car is an automatic). Maybe it has something to do w/ the liquids in your car separating out after sitting for a long time...a big possibility is the oil.

You need a new battery. WalMart, #41-4, $39.95

Default your ESP light was coming on because the battery died. It will reset itself after driving a short

distance. Like Audi Junkie said, get a new battery, yours is dead. You should have disconnected yours if you were leaving the car for that long.

Default When installing new batt, jump system to 12v to keep it hot & radio outta safe mode.9v works too

I actually dunno if a 9v smoke detector battery works, I want to try it. Jumping to a 12v mower or motorbike battery definately works, I did it many times.
