Default Input would b greatly appreciated!

Hey folks, went from a 99.5 A4 to '01 S4 Avant to '01 BMW MCoupe and am contemplating coming back to the Audi fold.

Couple of questions if you could help. Test drove an '03 1.8 and 3.0 & TT225. I'm opting for the A4 1.8, but I think that fiberglass trim looks really 'cheap'. I read several pages back about it being possible to replace the trim pieces. How hard is it to replace, possible for diy?
Needless to say it's a big hit in the HP department going from 315 to 170. I just read APR's got a chip to bump it to 200 & 215 w/ig wires, how does it feel to you guys who did the chip (perf wise)?

I'm looking at a dolphin grey w/sport pkg, 5spd, prem pkg, xenons, pwr seats & bose.

Any other thoughts or helpful info concerning this car would be greatly appreciated, I've not been following the A4's progess since I sold mine in '01.

Cheers,
Chris

Default Thats a sweet color combo!!!!!!

My chip makes the car get up and go. you wont have the off the line torque tho , if you need that , think long and hard.

Default YEAH, you wont be spinning wheels at the line, but...

with the right stages, and other mods, you can have a car just as peppy. I am assuming that going to stage 3 is noting regarding price for someone cming from an M3, so get with the 1.8T, and start tinkering. I think you will be extremely happy, and all for WAY LESS than you will spend on the new M3 or S4.

I took my '04 S4 off order when I bought the A4 in February.
