Default here's what my buddy said about the water issue

here's the deal with the rain: there really isn't any worries about that. people say that stuff but it's kind of unfounded. you'd have to drive in like 10" of water and actually *submerse* your filter in water for anything to get sucked up in there. remember, the k&n filters are SMOTHERED in oil and water repels oil, so you'll be good. plus, being routed down to the bumper is way better because it'll actually act like a *cold* air intake as opposed to the evoms one which sits in the engine bay sucking up HOT air.

Yeah, it's called buyer's remorse.

Default I agree, there is no HP increase with these intakes...

How is a cone filter that sits in the engine bay not too far from a glowing hot turbo, a true CAI? Secondly, all it's doing is helping the engine breath more, it's not sucking in colder air. I think the "cool" noise it makes gives off a placebo effect of more HP, I bet it does help Throttle response and that's about it.

The Stock box is a bit restrictive, but you can modify it at no cost and get plenty of air flow. Also it gets cold air from outside the engine bay via two sources.

Ultimately a FMIC or Dual IC's (for Aggrevatior & Jet) : ) are the best way to get colder Intake temps.

Let's have a dyno day in July, with the hood closed, to see what the reality is.

Amen on the dyno! Besides, isn't +/- 4 HP within normal dyno variances?
