installed K04 today, possible problem/question

hey everyone, ok, so before starting the install today I was at stage 1+ with the following:
APR exhaust
APR inlet hose
TT injectors
baileys bypass valve
AWE front mount
APR stage 1+ software
ok, so today I put in the K04, didn't have any real problems other then slicing my finger open on the gasket between the turbo and the catalyst... hurt but hey, its not a valid mod unless you shed some blood in the process right? anyway, got everything in, let the car idle for awhile to get the oil and coolant going again (yes, i did prime the turbo with oil) but now i'm getting an Overboost code in both stock and chipped mode. I'm assuming this is just due to the software not being in there for the K04 but wanted to know if anyone else went through this
In chipped mode Its maxing out my boost gauge at around 28+ psi peak PSI. If i put the computer in stock mode its peaking at around 16 PSI. After it does this about twice you get limp home mode and are limited to 5psi, real annoying!
SO, is this just due to my engine missing the K04 programming or is there some other problem here, I did notice that the exhaust flap on the k04 was a bit harder to open than on the old k03, not by a lot but definitely harder, i just attributed this to one being warn and the other being nice and new.
Any advice would be appreciated, i'm hoping to get over to some kind of local APR dealer tomorrow to get reflashed with the correct software. Anybody of know of anyone nice to deal with in the Philadelphia area that carries APR? Going through their website I found someone in Philly but never heard of them before.

i took out my airbox and put it on the side. being in the military, they move you and your stuff every so often... i was looking through all my junk and didn't see my carton with my airbox. i wonder if it got left behind in GA - my previous duty station before i came here to AZ.
man, that was 2 years ago!
also, the 2nd mod i did (after debadging) was installing a green high performance air filter in 02 - while i was in germany.

load response characteristic. With the K-04, the increased compressor mass flow results in increased exhaust mass flow, that results in even more compressor mass flow, that causes even more exhaust mass flow.....and so on. Specific K-04 software, or a MBC, is required.
You can try connecting the wastegate actuator directly to the compressor housing port that connects to the N75 as a temporary measure. That will result in baseline boost only, about 5 or 6 psi, but is a lot safer for your engine than 28 psi, and 16 is too much on stock mode, unless you can confirm that the stock mode program will provide enough fuel at 16 psi, and not getting too lean.
