Installed new CF coil cover from DTH
The install went smooth; it took about a half hour total. I did need to take some small files to the bolt holes of the CF cover, so they could be widened and smoothed out a bit, in order for the socket head cap screws provided in the package to pass through.
I think that I'll get some longer screws (about 5mm longer) and maybe add some rubber washers to place between the other items that bolt to the valve cover and the CF part itself just to be safe. It was easiest to thread up the farthest back bolt, (we'll can that #4, then bolt #1, then #2, then #3), before tightening everything down. I also removed the mounting points for the stock cover, which are bolted to the VC with the same size socket head cap screw as everything else I touched.
This did require me to tuck the coil pack cables against the rib that connects the screw bosses on the passenger side of the VC, which are also the mounting points for the CF cover. This may cause stress on the cables over time, or it may have no affect at all.
Both Mike and Greg at DTH were helpful and easy to deal with!

Yeh, someday. The website's version does look much better with the black VC.
I didn't feel like taking the cover back off to clean underneath - my bad for the dirt.
I wasn't really trying to show off my under-hood cleaning skillz, just trying to give a little review on the CF cover and show people what it looks like in case they were trying to decide if they wanted one.

Not sure why yours looks like that, here is the same part on my 2001 valve cover.

BTW the top line of the CF cover is perfectly straight edge and doesn't go to the left toward the front, it is the top breather that angles to the left by the time it gets to the back of the valve cover. If the top line followed that breather line the cover would look odd when looked from the side since the the top line and the bottom line would not be even causing the cover to have a odd shape since the back would be smaller then the front.

Hmmm. Here's a pic at 'bout the same angle as yours, but it looks a bit diff. from the other B6.
Please pardon my dust once again.
