Re: If you want them now, go to a VW dealer, they have them for about $30 ea,
I called some of the VW dealerships. Most did not have any and the ones that did wanted around $66. I ordered through worldimpex.com and should have them on Monday.

Re: The part number has a suffix letter "R". It is marked on the part.
Hi Diagnosticator,
for my 3.0 the part # they gived me are:
06C 905 115 F (with red head)
I insisted to get the "R" model, but that all they have ....
I don't think they are "R", so do you know where can I look for them?
by the way, thank you for sharing you knowledge with us...always so helpful..
Fabien.

Well in the case of the 3.0 coilpack, the "R" coilpack version does not apply....
directly. The 06B 905 115 R, PN is for the 1.8T primarily. The coilpack PN 06C 905 115 F, is the part specified for the 3.0l and differs from the 06B 905 115 R, in at least one way, (color) but there may be other differences also.
Depending on the revision date of the 06C 905 115 F PN, compared to the 06B 905 115 R revision date, those part numbers may or may not be equivalent, as far as the coilpack construction and internal design are concerned.
About all you can do with the 3.0l in this context, is to use the most recent part number version/revision (06C 905F) and hope for the best.
I do not know of anything preventing using the 06B 905 115 R, coilpack in the 3.0l in place of the specified part number.

Update...
Well, it was the coil on cylinder one. Replaced it with an "r" version and it works fine. Have the other three r versions coming on Monday and will replace those as well. Thanks for all the help.
