Default installing a Dension ICE iPod

I'm going to install the DICE iPod on my Symphony tonight in my 02 A4 1.8t. Any advice before installing or anything to look out for? Also I have two radio keys... Should i be using four keys? Thanx.

Default 4 keys makes it alot easier

can be done with 2 but it takes more effort. also may need to pull the radio fuse and reboot.

Default yeah 4 keys will make it a lot easier...

I found that the head unit was pretty snug on my car and having all 4 definitely helped.

Default Just installed the DICE in my car - didn't need to pull any fuses...

...but it is advised that you disconnect all of the cables from the headunit. It just makes it easier to work on the headunit because all of the attached cables are short. Once you've disconnected/reconnected the cables your headunit will be in safe mode. Make sure you have your radio code handy and follow the instructions in your manual to re-enable your headunit.
Also, I set the dip switches to be in ipod mode, not dice mode. It does not transfer the song and playlist numbers correctly, but it accesses them quicker and I found the ipod mode to be less buggy.

Default How tricky is it to get the cable through the dash

I'm about to do this, is there plenty of room to get the cable back through the dash and into the center console?

Default I did it the other way around....

cable behind the dash first ... put it on a hangar and fished it back out.

Default no need at all...

fish the hanger through (or fish if you have) then just tape one end of the cable to it and pull. You can put your hand in there to help make room so it comes through nicely and there is plenty of room. Mine comes out on the driver's side and not the passenger side, but there is enough space on both sides.
