I am getting an Atlas Grey Avant and cant decide which interior color? I think the black looks better with the contrast but am worried about the scuff marks and heat in the summer. anyone really find black to be much hotter in the summer of is it a myth? the grey is nice but looks too similar to the car color and almost seems tan to me? I like the black but worry about the heat, dirt etc etc.

I have an atlas Avant on order with the ebony interior. I have checked both ebony and platinum at the dealer and I didn't care for the platinum all that much. It might be better in the summer but in Texas (where I live) it does not matter what color your interior is, it gets hotter than hell anyway. As far as the scuff marks go, my wife's Jetta has grey velour interior and I see scuff marks already on the door frame, so black can't be much worse than that.
I just liked the more sporty look of the ebony, it gives a much nicer contrast not only with the outside but with the alu/chrome accent trim pieces as well, making it a really nice looking combination. The platinum was a little bit too blah for me, but it's going to be your car so pick what YOU want.

This was something that I was thinking before I got my car. Platinum is more luxurious looking. Black, to me personally, is too dark and it will show dirt more and u need to keep cleaning it more. Go for Platinum. It will go well with the car exterior.

I haven't seen this combo yet but I'm frankly tired of black interiors since all my cars have been like that. The pic of the interior in the Canadian brochure shows a platinum interior with wood trim. Since you're stuck with wood on the 3.0L I think platinum looks great. It would hide scuffs and dust more too I think.
