Default Interior heating problem

I have a problem with the heat in my 03 a4 1.8t CVT. The engine temp needle is at the right place but the heat blows cold regardless of what temp I set it at. Someone told me I needed to change my thermostat. Can anyone else relate/know what the problem might be? and if anyone knows how to change thermostat?

Default It's not the thermostat. Sounds like the air temp control flap servo ..

motor on the HVAC is not working.

Default Possibly a slow coolant leak? Had a similar thing where coolant is getting low, but (more)

not enough to move the temp gauge. When idle, would blow cool air, would take a long time to get up to any kind of heat, etc. Valve seal was leaking. But you did not mention if you checked the coolant level, so maybe something to check.

Default Re: Possibly a slow coolant leak? Had a similar thing where coolant is getting low, but (more)

Thanks everyone for the advice, but it did turn out to be a coolant problem. There was actually too much coolant (It was dark when I put it in). I leveled it to the correct amount and the heat works perfect.
