Default interior wear and tear, so Audi decided to use soft (urethane?) paint for the interior

panels and radio. do touch-up paints for those exist? also some of my switches have the black worn off.

all the wear was present when i bought the car and wondering if there are fixes to these?

kind of strange that Audi reduces the material quality as time goes.

Default Me too...

I just bought my A4 and I noticed identically the same problem. My interior is more or less mint, yet areas of the dash have spots where the outer-most substance has worn off. Mostly, the wear is concentrated on the radio and adjacent areas.

I was thinking of replacing the radio preset buttons to, in part, alleviate the problem.

I second my man's question: Any solutions out there? Thanks...

Default Possible business opportunity?

One of us Audiworlders should figure out how to touch-up this material, and sell the kit. My wife's PT Cruiser has similar material, and it's also bubbling up and wearing away (near the radio and dash).

Remember the old commercials for the stuff you could put on your leather, iron it and it would be "good as new"? We need something like that.

Default Not sure that is necessarily true...

First, how much could a new set of buttons be (let me know where to get them, if you know)? Second, if replaced, one would have the unbridled satisfaction of fresh and unmolested buttons for at least a year or two, right?

What do you think?
