Default Why do you guysgo so long between changes?

I would *never* do more than 3k. I need to be under my car and looking for problems at least that often.

No 15K mile warranty if your car calls for shorter OCI.

Default Wrong as usual Mike. You should come test your vast knowledge at Bob's Forum.Warranty text from Mobil

"If your vehicle has exceeded the duration of the manufacturer's warranty, ExxonMobil warrants that the Mobil 1 Extended Performance lubricant you purchased will protect your vehicle's critical engine parts from oil related failure for 15,000 miles or 1 year, which ever comes first."

I did say to "Check it out". Listening is a skill too.

Default While the car is under warranty it's not covered for a longer OCI...

If you look at their nubmers for the EP and the regular M1, you'll have a very hard time showing any differences. I dont trust the M1 EP for THREE TIMES the inteveral of M1 as you suggest, do you? Look at the numbers. Not all that different. cheers! Mike

Default Not at all. Just saying that it could be misleading stating it's warrantied for 15K...

I'm not saying it's not great to run. It seems to be just as good as the rest. These are all top shelf oils and whether it be M1, Motul, Redline, or GC, it's all good. I like them all. I wouldnt run any one of them for three times the other though. That was the only point I meant to make. Didnt mean to insinuate anythign else. cheers! Mike

Default I agree with you AJ. 5k is great for any top shelf oil esp. in "severe duty" that most of us do...

i just wish that 15K mile warranty BS would be taken off the bottle as it applies to most but not us. I'd rather spend the extra $100 a year than deal with M1 trying to reimburse me for a motor that A0A has already sent sludge letters out on. cheers! mike
