You stated M1 is good for 5k miles. You next stated you agree that 3K miles is conservative and 5K is good as I stated. We both agree the 15K is BS. That is the point to be made. We can bicker about useless stuff all day. You want a small win to take home and put on your oil mantle. OK. Your right I was talking about the 1.8T oil sludge letters. I think you can see by my original post..

"No 15K mile warrany if your warranty call for shorter OCI" is absolutely true for cars under warranty and you yourself stated would not stand by.

Of course, who would? So the spirit of my post was obviously to prevent this fella from making a huge mistake in thinking M1 EP is a great 15K mile oil. It's a great oil, but not a great 15K mile oil IN OUR CARS right? Especially since you stated regular M1 is good for 5K. So do you really think M1 EP is worth three times the OCI of regular M1? Of course you don't and neither do I. I think that's what we were getting at.

used to state M1 was good for over 10K and then swithced it to recommending 5K after me stating that forever. Kind of like you used to talk about anecdotal hundred thousand mile tbelt intervals before myself and finally even Audi recognized their errors. I'm more conservative. You're not.
