Default Invoice pricing question?

Braman in West Palm Beach say's there are PDA and other charges that they MUST pay to Audi directly that are added onto the invoice price.

If you look on Edmunds.com the invoice price there is not what Braman claims the TRUE invoice is. They showed me their invoice papers and sure enough if was about $350 more than what Edmunds say's. I heard by law they are not able to lie or add charges onto the invoice sheet.

So according to Edmunds prices, I bought my 04 for $1200 over invoice and according to Bramans sheet I paid about $850 over invoice.

What is your take on this?

Default dealer advertising fees are AoA fees and not dealership fees.

Unavoidable fees:
Port Prep fee ($45).
Dealer Advertising fee (1% of the base invoice).

Its a local advertising fee that AoA charges (not your dealership). Only urban Audi dealerships charge this fee. Rural Audi dealerships don't charge this fee.

If you do a search for dealership fee you will find some more information regarding this. Its been talked about a lot.

Default I say you got a good deal!

If you pay MSRP those fees are swallowed. The closer you get to invoice the more you will see these fees. It is normal. My Port Prep and flooring fees were $335.

The reason why Edmund does not list those fees is because they vary by region/state or even dealer to dealer. They used to show them before but some dealers got mad because they were charged more than others on some of those fees so they no longer show it. The guy who is in charge of pricing at Edmunds is actually a good friend of mine so I am talking from first hand information not hearsay.

Default Not Really, after my 250 loyalty from AOA. I paid only 250 over invoice & got window tint (20%)

thrown in. I negoiated for 6 hours on it. No trade, and paid cash.

Default I got mine for invoice. So what?

And I also got 1.8% financing via Premiere Purchase for 4 years with no money down!

Does that mean that $850 over true invoice is a bad deal? NO! Way to leave bad taste in someone's mouth dude!

There will always be people who pay less than you and people who pay more than you. $850 over invoice on a 2004 at this time of year is a good deal no matter what others pay.

On a brand new 04, anytime you can get 5-7% off is a good deal.
