Default iPod Connection - Question

I was thinking about running to the dealership to have the iPod connector put in. Its my understanding its a hard wire that runs directly through the Bose system. I currently do the FM transmitter deal that is garbage. I was wondering if any of you have tried it and what your opinions are. I have a 2005 A4 3.0 Ultrasport.

Also, would it screw with my Sirius at all?

Thanks for the help guys. Opinions seem very mixed. I guess I will have to roll the dice.

Default I wouldn't do it the way I did it if I was starting from scratch....

I only chose to do a "custom" so to speak setup, because I already owned an adapter and didn't want to start from scratch.

Default Re: Frustrated!

I just called the dealership. If I install it, they will disable my satellite radio because it uses the same port. That blows! I would do it in a heartbeat, but Sirius was a gift from my wife. Oh well, guess I'll have to get it in the next one.

Get an RNS-E. I think it supports Sirius/XM.
