I have a 2004 A4. I know there have been other threads devoted to connecting an iPod but I'm still very confused.

All I want to do is have a wire that I can connect my iPod to and plays directly through the stereo. I don't mind controlling the iPod on the device itself, and don't care if the name of the song scrolls on the car display. Can anyone recommend a device and where to purchase it? Also, will any mechanic be able to simply install it?

do you have symphany radio?....the kit i bought was about 130$ i installed it myself. works good i can control everything from the radio,my ipod never leaves my glovebox!
