The cheaper one allows for the hooks and tie downs to stick thru.

i have the foam one from Audi and it seems to serve it's purpose and oem-fit
dont know where you would get heavy rubber ones...i personally think the foam ones are perfectly fine for most weather. i also have the all season rubber floor mats, but then again matching is not a concern for me.

Not to be a smart a** but the way I solved this problem, is no back seat passengers lol...
Especially not in the winter or any other inclement weather for that matter, definitely not one for handing out rides.
