No loss whatsoever ...!

I have "the token buy" of clay in my garage. I used it once as directed, but could not see any positive results. Maybe its down to car colour (or color state-side)? I have solid black ... you have silver.

CLAY BAR!!!!
wash, then clay, then polish, then wax
meguirs clay is a'ight. Its all i've ever used, so I can't comment on others, but I love it. I use klasse all in one, then use a GOOD wax. I recommend pinacle. (sp)
The clay... try washing, polishing then waxing the hood, then run your hand over the hood, let me know if you feel any SMALL bumps. like maybe iron deposits, from railroads, misc residue, from whatever the polish didn't get out, etc.
Then claybar, make sure you use something slippery, like quick detail, etc. Then wax that, and tell me what you fell.
Its NIGHT and DAY, you will never know CLEAN, and SMOOTH, till you clay bar.

clay bar removes fallout and general paint surface containments. Whereas a polish
will smooth and fill holes in a painted surface. Polishing is more abrasive to your cars paint. Clay bar is a mild painted surface treatment.

Clay may make it smooth, but that has nothing to do with shine
All that clay will do is remove contaminants that rise above the surface of the paint. It will not level the paint, which is required to produce shine. Leveling of the paint is accomplished by using a good polish/glaze.
