i was just drivin behind him..pretty distant from him too! and he just slams on his brakes...and we were goin like 80km/h so i had to kinda steer left and right so that my car would slow down faster. he said that i was tailgating him and that if i do it again, he'll turn my audi into a ford. i was just like **** i wasnt tailgating u. and just stared him down. bastard gave me a scare...thought my car would have to go to the hospital.

Short story:
Crazy female driver ("Bitch") tailgates aggressively.
My friend slows down at legal passing opportunities.
Bitch does not take them.
Bitch waits until on a tight curve (no passing zone obviously)
Passes on the curve, pulls in front, and slams on the brakes.
My friend slams on the brakes and swerves to avoid.
Tail of car swings left, then right, then rolls.
The first impact is on the passenger side, and the passenger breaks three vertebrae when his head hits the ground/window.
Car rolls two full times, bitch drives off.
Besides the obvious tragedy and my sympathy to my friends (who are still getting married as planned), I am concerned that her Jetta's side airbags did not go off. I mean, I am somewhat comforted by the fact that MY car has head curtain airbags and hers does not, but they're activated by the same system that deploys the side airbags. If they didn't deploy on her Jetta, will they deploy in a roll-over in my Audi? How similar are the systems?
Anyway, remember this when you are tempted to "teach someone a lesson," no matter how much they may deserve it. I have no problem with aggressive driving (I'm no hypocrite), but I have a huge problem with vehicular assault. Remember where that line is. The Bitch in the story above will likely lose her restaurant in the pending lawsuit, and will probably also spend time in jail for the criminal charges.
Stay Safe.

I have mentioned before that there is a definate need for some cheap on-board video device that would discourage CHRONIC agressive drivers.

Had the same thing happen a couple of weeks ago. I wasn't tailgating but apparently he thought I was. Never had a confrontation because after slamming on his brakes he sped off. I nearly rear-ended him. What a jerk! The only thought I had was maybe he thought I had my highbeams on? I've heard that our stock lights are pretty bright.
